A member asked:

What is the effect of metalbrite if it gets into the contacts of the eye?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Discard Contact lens: Metal brite uses sodium carbonate containing materials (arm & hammer), which is described as a severe eye irritant. If this gets into the eyes while wearing contacts, the contact should be removed and discarded, the eye flushed with water, and get medical attention. http://www.sfm.state.or.us/cr2k_subdb/msds/arm_&_hammer%20_super_washing_soda.pdf.
