Thyroid hormone : Levothyroxin is a synthetic replacement for the thyroid hormone t4. It can be given by mouth or intravenously. It can be used to treat hypothyroidism, an under functioning thyroid. It is also used to suppress the growth of goiters by decreasing thyoid stimulating hormone(tsh).
