Avoid certain foods: Eating a healthy diet can cause gas due to excess fiber. Since humans don't digest the fiber, intestinal bacteria will eat it and make gas as a byproduct. "beano" enzyme may help. Another reason is lactose intolerance, in which one can't digest lactose (milk sugar). "lactaid" tablets help. A third reason is sugar alcohols, like maltitol, that can cause gas. The doctor can search for other causes.

We all fart: Include probiotic foods like yogurt in your diet to help restore healthy bacteria in your body and improve digestion. Avoid carbonated drinks that can produce gas, including beer, sparkling wine and soda. Also eat slower to swallow less air will help.You may fart the same but probiotics make the gas less smelly.

Agree with Dr. K: Reduce you intake of food. Excess undigested food reaching colon is the main cause of foul flatus. Reduce your intake to the point where you experience slight weight loss.
