Does doxycycline have side effects?

Occasionally: Doxycycline is a useful antibiotic, but as with all medications, there are possible side effects. Every drug or supplement has some small risks, so a user has to weigh the benefits against the small chance of an allergic reaction or some other problem. Doxycycline is often used to treat acne in teen boys. Users can sunburn more easily. "doxy" is not used in younger kids nor in pregnant women.
