Small percentage: Sexual side effects are listed at 3% overall; however, if they occur they can persists for months after stopping the medication. Depression is a more common side-effect. Be certain to discuss this with your prescribing physician, and review your medical history, medications and physical findings, as they relate to propecia (finasteride).

Fairly uncommon.: Below is a table showing the proportion of men experiencing sexual side effects compared to placebo. In a 12-month clinical trial, 1.2% of patients taking Propecia (finasteride) (n=945) stopped due to adverse sexual side effects. This is compared to 0.9% of sexual side effects experienced on placebo. For more information, visit the fda: <a href="<a href="http://www.Accessdata.Fda.Gov/drugsatfda_docs/label/2011/.
