CCB: This is a blood pressure medication in the class of calcium channel blockers which results in lower blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels through blocking calcium mediated constriction. This certain CCB can also affect the heart rate unlike nifedipine.

Verapamil: Verapamil is part of a class of medications called calcium channel blockers. It is a relatively "old" drug that was primarily used to treat high blood pressure in the past but with newer, more effective medications, its use for this has decreased. It is now used frequently to treat specific types of heart rhythm disturbances.
