Partial antiestrogen: Raloxifene is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (serm). It binds to estrogen receptors in many tissues. However, in some tissues it acts like an estrogen and in other tissues (notably breast and uterus) it acts like an anti-estrogen (prevents the actions of estrogen).
