Alpha blocker: Doxazosin is a medication in the class of non-specific Alpha blockers. It is often used to lower blood pressure, or to improve bladder emptying. Doxazosin has been around for a very long time and is typically well tolerated. The dose needs to be slowly escallated as they can cause lightheaded and dizziness (especially when changing position - lying to sitting to standing).

Sure: Doxazosin is a selective Alpha 1 receptor blocker used for urinary retention secondary to an enlarged prostate. It is also used to treat hypertension and in fact, hypotension is the main side effects. Therefore, it should be started at a very low dose. Doxazocin is also used to relax the smooth muscle of the urethral sphincter mechanism in very specific conditions.
