Multiple: Complications include the possible risk of aspiration. They also include the risk of nausea and vomiting. Rarely there's a problem with inadequate oxygenation. A person may lose their tooth. The smart thing to do is to talk to the anesthesia doctor directly prior to receiving anesthesia.

Complications: Complications can be caused by natural events or by mistakes or combinations of two. Surgical difficulties, blood loss or multiple coexisting diseases can contribute to poor outcome. Failure of equipment and experience of all teams involved is also can be a factor. With these multitude of factors complications are rarely attributed to only anesthesia and they can affect any bodily function.
