When can my 6-month-old start baby foods?

Now: If you haven't started your baby on baby foods (other than cereal), you can start now. Start with pureed fruits and vegetables. Start one new food at a time for a few days to make sure your baby digests it well.  do not give foods that require chewing.  offer the baby formula, or breast-feed your baby after giving baby food at meals in case s/he is still hungry.

6 mo feedings: It is fine to start solids now, if you haven't. Start with rice cereal, vegetables, fruit and meats lastly with a few baby tsps separately to see if any food reactions occur. 2 ozs/feed/meal is fine to start.
