See below: Simply speaking: venomous bites are received from a species of snake that produces venom. There are grades of envenomation which are determined by the type of venomous snake biting and the severity of the symptoms caused by the venom. There are some bites that are "dry" - no venom injected. Dr. Sean bush from loma linda is an expert in this field and i will defer to him.
