Division of mankind: Caucasian, to most people, means a white person. But by the racial classification made in the 19th century, it ranged from people with light skin (no. Europe) to darker (parts of no. Africa & india). These people were felt to be originally from the caucases region of southeastern europe. At it's current core meaning, it is a white person, or one originally from europe.
