Herpes Zoster : Infections can cause shingles, an eruption along the path of a nerve over face, trunk, or even limbs. The immediate process is associated with seering pain and localized numbness over the nerve distribution. In some patients, a persistent agonizing painful sensation can develop, and plaque the patient indefinitely. Meds, such as Lyrica (pregabalin) may work wonders.
