Does chemotherapy make a man permanently infertile?

No: The result of chemotherapy depends on the type of chemo, the dose, and the length of time the chemo is used. I would advise you have a semen analysis. If it is abnormal, your doctor can check a hormone panel to determine whether it looks like you have complete testicular failure.

Usually not: Chemo is toxic to sperm for a minimum of 2 years and up to 5 years. Some chemo regimens are worse than others also. To be safe, bank sperm prior to treatment.
