What are ways to detect blood poisoning (septicaemia/sepsis)?

See below: Symptom-wise - fever, chills, confusion, low blood pressure, rapid heart beat, weakness and fatigue, to name a few. We also look at certain tests - high or low white blood cell count, cultures etc.

Bacopa monnieri: This is an herb used in ayurvedic treatment for asthma & epilepsy, indigestion, anemia & inflammation. It can cause GI upset, elevated thyroid function & low sperm count. I would not recommend it since no safety studies were done in humans.
