Bowel yeast: The "headquarters" of yeast is actually in the bowel and spreads to the vagina, sometimes even througfh the blood. You need a lab test (great plains) that does organic acids and looks for arabinose and/or tartaric acid in urine, their presence identifies bowel yeast. It requires a two month course of Fluconazole and nystatin. Yeast uses bowel sugar so a frequent cause of bowel yeast is diet sugar.
