A member asked:

How often do women get pregnant within the first four months of stopping depo-provera provera (medroxyprogesterone)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends: If you mean you last shot was 4 months ago, pregnancy is unlikely, but the drug label does not exclude the possibility. If you mean 4 months since you were due for a shot, or 7 months since the last one, the chances are higher. When stopping depoprovera, you should use barrier protection if you do not desire pregnancy.
