No: After sex, the ejaculate usually leaks out of the vagina. Don't worry - the good sperm leave the ejaculate and swim through the cervix within seconds of ejaculation. The liquid that leaks out of the vagina is just the fluid surrounding the sperm and the dead or slow sperm. Holding in the liquid will not improve your fertility - another common myth.

No: Most sperm die in the vagina after and hour, therefore the sperm that are able to fertilize the egg have less than an hour to enter the cervix and uterus.
