Cleaning: The purpose of ear wax is thought to be a cleaning function of your ear canal. It is meant to be produced clean and fall out. When you disturb this with q-tip cleaning, you may cause an impaction. You may use debrox to help soften the wax but if impacted, see a doctor before trying to dig it out yourself.
