Yes: As long as you are not nauseated or vomiting and feel like you are tolerating a regular diet, it should be fine. You may find yourself getting constipated, especially if you are taking a narcotic containing pain medication. If so, you may need to take a laxative.

Yes: If you are tolerating liquids well and are 4 days out from a lapaoroscopic appendectomy then it is fine to advance to a regular diet.
