Average age 35-55 years old: High blood pressure can happen at any age [many factors]. Average age for guys is 35-55 years old. Average age for gals is after menopause. The good news: lots of things we can to do to keep our blood pressure normal: eat well, get moving 30 minutes/day, rest, balance play/work, smile!

Fun for you?: First: what activity would be fun for you? Walking with a friend? Dancing? Make it something you'll enjoy. Second: start low, go slow. Begin 5-10 minute session, 3 times a week. If you don't feel sore the next day, increase your exercise time 5 minutes each session until you reach 30 minutes/session. Hit that mark? Add a 4th session a week. Congrats!

Make it fun!: Your kids can help shop. If they pick out their fruit/veggie, they may be more likely to chomp. Do they have access to a garden? Growing veggies at home or at school shows them the magic of where food comes from plus - super tasty too!
