No period pills: Lybrel, Seasonale, Seasonique, Yaz, (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) Yasmin are options to have 4 periods per year. However, you need to see doctor to see why you don’t want to have periods, do exam. Cannot smoke at all while on these pills.

Continuous OCP: Continuous birth control pills, skipping the placebo week, is a good way to temporarily skip your period. You can do this for months on end, as well, and you won't cause any harm, though you may have some breakthrough bleeding.
