A member asked:

I 'm told i had a stroke in the cerebellum and have had several in the "redundant" areas of the brain. how could i not know about the "several"?

Not uncommon: For small strokes to be un-noticed by the pt., as may occur in relatively silent areas, but if these continue, you may develop deficiencies in intellectual fnctn, and even have problems with strength and balance. Crucial is need to find out why these events occurred; may have been embolic from heart, or due to vasculitis. You need to take prophylactic meds based on causation. See a neurologist.
