Pathology eval: A biopsy means to acquire representative tissue for pathologic evaluation. In the case of testicular tissue, a biopsy would be useful for male-factor fertility evaluation.

Testis tissue sample: A testis biopsy is simply sampling the tissue of the testis gland for further analysis. For example, testicular biopsies are performed to evaluate intra-testicular causes of infertility in men who have low sperm counts or azospermia without evidence of spermatic obstruction.
