Nsaids: There is really no best over the counter nsaid. Ibuprofen comes in many varieties such as motrin, advil, nuprin etc while Aleve (naproxen) is the otc variety of naprosyn. Aleve (naproxen) probably works a little faster but is more likely to irritate your stomach. There are prescription nsaids which are less likely to bother your stomach.

Dr. Ralph Morgan Lewis

Cat's claw: According to the nih "there is not enough scientific evidence to determine if cat’s claw works for any health condition. Small studies in humans have shown possible benefit in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, but no large trials have been done. In lab studies, cat’s claw stimulates part of the immune system, but hasn't been proven to reduce inflammation or boost the immune system" —>.
