What is the definition or description of: cervical laceration?

A cut: Laceration = cut cervical refers o a neck: uterine cervix, or that area betwen the head and shoulders.

Injury to the cervix: A "cervical laceration" would most likely refer to an injury to the cervix, the entry to the uterus in the back of the vagina. The term could also be used to describe a cut to the head or neck region, but more likely would be used for the former.

Tear or cut: A tear or cut in the cervix which may be due to pushing a baby through an incompletely dilated cervix, use of dilators by a gyn during a D&C and other things may cause these to occur.
