4-7 months: Starting solid foods between 4 & 7 months seems to be a "window of opportunity" for best success, least problems (e.g., allergies.) use only whole grains and healthy foods. No white rice cereal! as dr. Greene says, "let kids' first bite be real food - such as mashed avocado, banana, sweet potato, or whole grains (like whole oats or brown rice). There's no good reason not to... They'll thank you.".

Table foods at 1 yo: Table foods start at one, but jarred baby foods start at 4-6 months. Brown cereals first, like brown rice, then babies foods after. Each new food should be started 5-7 days after any other new food. At one, your child can eat any food you eat (except peanuts/nuts) that are mashable or cut smaller than the size of the pea.
