May be rib fracture.: Based on your sxs description, it may be rib fracture on the left side, effecting the lower left ribs or the floating ribs. Swelling with pain, specially, when trying to sleep on your left side may be due to rib fracture. Lung does not seem to be effected. Your sxs. Could be due to multiple reasons, although.Should soon consult your pcp, who may refer u to an orthopedics doctor. Cxr will be helpful.
