A member asked:

I have a white lotion-like discharged and i have been recently treated of uti and they doctor also gave me pills for yeats infection.?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sounds right on!: Uti would be appropriately-treated by antibiotic therapy, which can in turn cause increase in vaginal yeast discharge. Different medications (oral and topical) are needed to effectively treat yeast infection. If your pills (likely diflucan) do not seem to be doing the job, you may want to add over-the-counter monistat. Wash frequently and wear cotton panties until things are back to normal.
