Try avoid surgery: Tail bone fractures can hurt tremendously, even after many years, but surgical intervention is not necessarily the best answer. There are a variety of reasons why these fractures can be painful, and a good spine surgeon or similar physician should be able to look at your images, and diagnose your condition accurately. Injections can be helpful in determining the cause and location of your pain.
