It can be managed: Bipolar disorders are usually effectively treated and managed over the course of a person's life. Continued employment and life satisfaction and happiness are certainly possible despite a diagnosis of a bipolar disorder.

Not yet: Bipolar disorder is an inherited neurobiological disorder that has eluded a cure. It is quite treatable though, so don't give up and maintain your treatment regimen that should include counseling, medication, group support, meditation, exercise and good sleep.

Mood stabilizers: Mood stabilizers are used to treat bipolar disorder. Lithium and depakote would be two examples of mood stabilizers but there are others, depending on symptoms, and depending on what works for the patient. Typically, bipolar cannot be cured, as such, only managed, which is a life long struggle.
