A doctor has provided 1 answer

Meatitis or UTI: First thing is to have your urine tested for any bacterial uti, especially after having a recent catheter. You can also have inflammation at the penile tip (called the meatus) that can be painful as you've described. If there is no infection, then a prescription for Pyridium (phenazopyridine) can useful for analgesic effect.
