Challenging: Complex as can be grouped with neuroleptic malignant syndrome. Characterized by hyperthermia, muscle rigidity, altered mental status, usually associated with medicines that block or deplete dopamine, such as most anti-psychotics, and ssri antidepressants. May be precipitated by fever, infection, high environmental temperatures. Can be life threatening. Treatment quite complex.

Serious reaction : caused by use of one or more serotonergic medications. Serotonin Syndrome can cause nausea /vomiting /diarrhea, abdominal pain, stiffness or spasm of muscles, fever, shivering, ^ sweating, hallucinations, confusion, restlessness, visual changes, ^ Heart rate, tremor, lack of coordination, seizure, bp changes, dilated pupils, In some rarer cases, coma or death can occur.
