VT: Ventricular tachycardia refers to rapid regular beats originating from the cells in the bottom of the heart and usually indicates a problem with the heart muscle, although not always. Short episodes referred to as non-sustained ventricular tachycardia, can be asymptomatic. Longer episodes often are symptomatic and can be life threatening.
