Variant cell pattern: This largely relates to cancer cells and is a description of how variant the structure and division pattern is from normal cells. An anaplastic cells has weird internal componens, sometimes extra nuclei, and a bizarre pattern of division. They are usually more rapidly dividing and are a serious type of abnormality which needs rapid treatment.
