Sleep helps work: Good restful sleep promotes better concentration, alertness, reaction times, short term memory. Sleep deprivation can affect these. We live in a society that is fast paced and requires more than 24 hours. Unfortunately, our brain is not wired to short sleep. Give yourself at least 7 hours. Napping 15-20 minutes can be rejuvenating, so long as it does not affect your getting to sleep at night.

Understand: That there is a direct connection between you getting good relaxing rejuvenating rest and your ability to function effectively at work. One is a direct result of the other. They can not be opposed to each other for very long. It the well rested early robin that gets the worm. Not the tired one that stayed up all night looking for worms that wins.
