Colon polyps: A colon polyp is a growth on the lining of the colon (large intestine). Most polyps are benigh, but some are cancerous and some can become cancerous. They are a common finding on colonoscopy, and are frequently biopsied (removed) during colonoscopy to rule out cancer.
