Hematoma or Fracture: Breastbone(sternum) fractures associated with rib fractures can result in serious internal injuries to heart and lungs. Please check it out. Most of those due auto accident.

Hematoma: You have devekoped a hematoma due to the blunt trauma. As long as you do not have bleeding disorders or take any blood thinners, nature should take care of it. An xray chest might be good to get. Apply ice.
