No: Freckles are harmless patches of extra pigmentation in the skin. They are of no consequence unless they change in size, color, or other appearance. In that case, see your doctor or dermatologist to make sure it's not something of concern.

Not generally so: Freckles are not really a concern. However, the more you have the more you have the more difficult it could be notice when there is something more worrisome.
