What are the causes of an itchy testicle?

Jock itch rash?: Itching of the scrotum (sac that contains the testicles) can be due to jock itch, which is a fungal skin infection. One can try over-the-counter lotrimin (clotrimazole) af cream twice a day for 2-3 weeks for itching of the scrotum. Any open sores, or any lumps, should be evaluated by a doctor. A persistent itch or persistent rash after using antifungal cream should also be examined by a doctor.
