Biofeedback: I have used biofeedback to control headaches for years. I imagine myself holding ice cubes in my outstetched hands and it reduced my blood pressure almost imemdiately. That often reduces the headache to no pain at all. Cost is free.

Home remedies: You can try a few home remedies starting with ice application over back of neck and temples. Other things you could try are warm compresses, massaging your temples, meditation and green tea. Relaxation therapy, biofeedback, meditation and exercise have also shown to help.
