A member asked:

Could epilight cause scarring? is it possible for the light used with epilight to cause scarring on sensitive skin types?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Too much energy: Can cause skin damage, regardless of source. Epilight is used for hair removal, so it has enough intensity to cause inflammation, and hyperpigmentation can indeed cause skin color change. Too much energy can cause enough thermal damage to induce scarring, though this would be immediately visible as blistering or open wounds. Sensitive skin can be scarred by many causes, but this source is unlikely.
