Yes- several: There are several illnesses that are similar to MS. These include SLE, CADASIL, Susac syndrome, transverse myeltis, neuromyelitis optica, optic neuritis, and ADEM for example. Many of these are less common than MS, and at times they can be difficult to distinguish from MS.
