Several ways: Do not drive with the car windows open. Keep the house windows shut during the allergy season. Don't go out jogging or walking or gardening during the peak allergy time of day i.e., 6-10 am. Don' dry your clothes outside during the season. Use a saline spray periodically to flush out pollens from your nose. Keep an eye on pollen counts in your area (pollen.Com).

Meds or shots: Avoidance isn't usually practical, although keeping windows closed and using ac, changing the timing of outdoor activities, showering at night before bed can help. Use of medications starting before the season can help reduce severity of symptoms. Allergy shots are very effective at reducing seasonal allergies.
