1 week, maybe more: Acute withdrawal (12-48hrs after last drink) includes tremors, sweating, & seizures. Alcoholic hallucinosis (24-72hrs after last drink) includes auditory and visual hallucinations. Delirium tremens (2-7 days, possibly longer) involves hallucination, confusion, poor sleep, sweating, increased temperature, and illusions. Fatality is usually associated with this final stage.
