No: While excessive alcohol consumption has been associated with dementia, and while people with schizophrenia often drink a lot, schizophrenia is not caused by a lot of alcohol use.

Schizophrenia: Schizophrenia is generally a chronic condition which affects about one in 100 people and is characterized by psychosis. Psychosis is when one has hallucinations and/or delusional thinking. Alcohol can affect the antipsychotic medication prescribed for schizophrenia causing the medication to become less effective as well as causing other problems. Avoiding alcohol is advisable. Good luck to you.
