Explosive, toxic: Meth labs can leave explosive, toxic fumes. Any house that contained a meth lab must be thoroughly inspected and carefully decontaminated before it is safe for habitation again.

Many: Meth labs are often makeshift, operating in places that expose people to flash fires, explosions, and toxic chemicals and solvents. For every pound of meth produced, five to six pounds of toxic waste are left behind. This includes battery acid, lye, drain cleaner, alcohols, hydrochloric acid, red phosphorus, iodine, lantern fuel, voc's, & toxic metals that stay in soil & groundwater for years.
