Breast surgery: This is the removal of all the breast tissue. This can be done in combination with reconstruction to create a new breast mound. A skin sparing removes the nipple but leaves skin for the "new" breast. A nipple sparing leaves the nipple & areola intact. Be sure to explore all of your options, especially reconstruction.
