Will weaning make me more fertile?

No: Breast feeding delays the return of ovulation and can help prevent new moms from getting pregnant. If you have a newborn and your period hasn't returned, weaning will likely make you more fertile. But if your baby's a year old and you've been having periods for the last few months, weaning won't matter. (if you really want to prevent pregnancy breast feeding alone is not sufficient birth control.).

Yes: Breastfeeding is not a particularly effective method of contraception, but stopping it will make ovulation more likely.

Usually: Breast-feeding mistakingly has been said to stop ovulation. Ovulation may still occur for some individuals during breast-feeding. Pregnancy chances will improve after stopping breast-feeding though.
