I u mean inflamed?: I think you mean inflamed . This is called pericarditis. This is usually caused by infections or after a heart attack. Autoimmune diseases and gout can also cause this.

No such thing: "inferior" is the descriptive term designating anatomically the part of a structure that is in the direction of the feet. The pericardium is the fibrous sac that encases the heart. The inferior surface of the pericardium is that lower part that lies on the diaphragm. Did you mean "inferior infarction"? This a common term indicating a heart attack of the bottom (inferior wall) of the heart.
